Exactly one year ago, the journey of Magestore PWA POS started. We officially released the beta version of the first Magento PWA POS on August 7th, 2018.
Magestore PWA POS is a best-fit solution for physical stores who use Magento system and want to sell faster. It’s native with Magento so all data is synchronized instantly across the system. So you can control everything in your Magento backend (including POS settings). It’s a one time payment for a lifetime use with unlimited users, locations, and devices.
Today, we’re excited to share this special moment with you – our customers, partners, and employees who always company on the evolution of Magestore PWA POS. Let’s trace the journey of Magestore PWA POS over one year.
Looking back – How our journey began
Our journey started with our motivation to continuously improve and deliver a better POS system to all Magento retails. We know that fast and reliable performance is the highest priority to help retail stores keep up with a rush hour. A good retail POS system also needs a user-friendly interface, accurate data sync, and high data security. That was why we decided to apply PWA technology for the POS system.
On August 7th, 2018 we had our first beta version of Magestore PWA POS. Our POS inherits many of these features of PWA technology. So, it enables ultrafast checkout speed, online-offline synchronization in real-time, and inventory visibility across the system. Three weeks after launching the beta version, we had 32 customers sign up to be the early adopters.
With the feedback of the beta users, we continued to develop and improve the product and had the official launch of Magestore PWA POS on September 6th, 2019.
We now have more than 120 PWA POS customers from across industries and countries around the world. Let’s take a look at the key milestones of Magestore PWA POS
In February 2019, we released the latest version of our POS that is fully compatible with Magento 2.3. With 2.3, Magento introduced a new feature called Multi-source Inventory (MSI). So our POS plus Magento 2.3 gives retailers a better way to handle their inventory. Now merchants can manage stock in multiple locations. They can link multiple warehouses to one or many websites without relying on third-party extensions.
Also, we developed a PWA POS exclusively for the Australian market. It comes with the same great performance, but with a set of more localized set of features, e.g. integration with Tyro EFTPOS, Zip Pay.
The next time, we will also develop the new features for Magestore PWA POS to bring Magento retailers a high-quality product that meets your business growth speed.
