What is welcome message?

The Welcome message in the header expands to include the name of the customer who is logged in. Before you launch your store, be sure to change the default Welcome text for each store view. The customized Magento 2 welcome message will be  more attractive, and encourage your customers to purchase not only one but more. What do you think about this: When you search on the Internet about a specific product, click into one of websites on the result list from Google, and that shop welcome you by a lovely & friendly welcome message like: “Hi, welcome you to our shop, what are you finding? ” It’s very cool for a Magento welcome message right?

Guide to change Welcome message in Magento 2

To change the Magento 2 welcome message, you need to following these step:On the Admin sidebar, tap Stores. Then under Settings, choose Configuration.

On the Admin sidebar, tap Stores. Then under Settings, choose Configuration.

In the panel on the left, under General, choose Design.

If you have multiple stores or views, set the Store View in the upper-left corner to the store or view where the configuration applies. Then, clear the checkbox after each field so new values can be entered.

Expand the Header section. Then, enter the Magento 2 Welcome Text that you want to appear such as: Hello, friend, how can I help you? instead of the default Magento 2 welcome message.

When complete, tap Save Config.

When prompted to update the Page Cache, click the Cache Management link at the top of the workspace. Then, follow the instructions to refresh the cache.
